2024 NATIONAL PAGEANT ANNOUNCED​

March 11, 2023, Virginia Beach – A new MRS USA EARTH™ will be crowned on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at The Westin Town Center located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  The Mrs USA Earth™ organization will embark on its 6th year as an esteemed and award-winning national pageant for married women under new, but familiar leadership, and with a few exciting changes. Since its inception, the award-winning pageant has consistently proven to be the most relevant and industry-leading event for married women. 

 

In early January 2023, it was announced that Mrs USA Earth™ would now be led by Khia Moon Smith and her production company, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Before assuming the role of CEO and Executive Director of Mrs USA Earth™, Moon Smith's role as Director of Operations ensured that the day-to-day business, management of delegates, and final execution of the state and national productions met the high-class and high-quality standards that the system is recognized for within the industry.

The 2024 national pageant week will kick off with delegate social activities, community service projects, and even activities for the delegate's spouses to participate in.  Friday will feature preliminary pageant competitions for runway, activewear, swimwear, and evening gown--all open to the public.  Saturday will be the day that the 2024 Mrs USA Earth™ is crowned, as well as her Elemental court--Mrs USA Earth™ Air, Water, Fire, and Eco.

Another exciting installment to the nationals week is the introduction of the ICON Awards & Charity Gala, benefiting the organization ICONIC USA--the official philanthropic initiative of Mrs USA Earth™.  This 501(c)(3) organization's mission is to inspire change and overcome nature's issues collectively.  The titleholders of Mrs USA Earth™ serve as ambassadors of ICONIC throughout their reign, with the Mrs USA Earth™ national titleholder serving as the chief ambassador and face of the organization for her title year.  The ICON Awards will recognize and honor individuals, businesses, and organizations who are making strides in the fight to save and improve the environment.  This Met-inspired event is open to the public and will feature dinner, a silent auction, entertainment, and the ICON award presentations.

The hope is that this new era the organization is entering—produced by Crown Life Productions—will allow participants, their families, and supporters to enjoy experiences and events that will enhance their national competition week, and bring an economic boost to the resort area during what is typically a slower business season.

Khia Moon Smith is a pageant veteran herself--a part of the industry for more than 20 years.  A resident of Virginia Beach for the past 29 years, she has held multiple titles in various pageant circuits--most notably being crowned as the first African-American Ms Virginia United States (2012) and Ms Mississippi United States (2013 & 2014).  Having been a contestant, judge, coach, and state director, and maintaining executive leadership roles within pageant organizations, Khia was the ideal individual to usher the organization to its next level.  Titleholders that she has coached and directed have consistently won awards and have been successful in winning both state and national titles.  "Bringing the national pageant to Hampton Roads, was what I felt, a natural next step.  Hampton Roads has so many opportunities and organizations for the Mrs USA Earth™ delegates to partner with and promote their individual platforms in environmental activism, eco-education, and eco-tourism.  I really feel as though this move will serve to be beneficial to the organization and even to the region--bringing more nationwide interest to our diverse location and all of our efforts to help save our planet and preserve its delicate ecosystems."
